NLP Engineer – Cluj-Napoca / Iasi

BoatyardX is looking to hire an NLP Engineer to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team working to explore and develop new document product concepts. What will I be doing?

  • You will design and develop code with performance optimisation, extensibility and maintainability in mind.

  • Ensure that consistent design patterns, methodologies and design documentation are maintained across all your development projects.
  • Oversee deployment of production code
  • Ensuring comprehensive testing of all developed code to a very high standard to enable automated QA

What skills and experiences do I need?
  • Extensive experience engineering NLP based solutions in either Python or Java.
  • Capability to work with relevant NLP libraries such as NLTK, Spacy, Vader, OpenNLP, CoreNLP.
  • Understanding of ML and relevant libraries such as Numpy, Pandas, SciKit, Spark MLlib
  • Understanding of REST services and how to build NLP functionality with them using either Flask or Spring Boot.
  • Understanding of Data Flow tools such as Airflow and advantage
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to listen, document, prioritise and turn high-level requirements into product experiences.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • A self-educator, ability to constantly self-educate but also a knowledge sharer.
  • A sense of pride in what you architecture & build with a sense of attention to detail to ensure quality and a superior user experience.
